Half Marathon Fundraiser!
The 'Badger Cull' has taken place in numerous parts of England since 2013. In 2018, the government expanded the area for badger culling, bringing the total to 31 zones. Reports have suggested that during 2018 alone, 32,000 badgers were brutally Killed.
Despite mounting evidence that culling badgers is ineffective in controlling bTB, the government is still planning on rolling the cull out to new areas this year. Unfortunately, it appears this will include Avon.....
Therefore, to raise much needed funds, members of AABC will be running 13.5 miles in the Ciderthon on the 5th of May, 2019.

You are invited to join the volunteers of AABC for an evening of delicious vegan food in support of our collective opposion to the badger cull! Allow us to serve you your choice of two tasty main courses accompanied by a hearty portion of fresh local produce, and a rich flavoursome gravy. All followed by a delicious sweet treat for the pallet!

Roast Minted Seitan
Sweet Potato, Broccoli & Leek Pie with Sun Dried Tomatoes, Pearl Barley, Pine Nuts and Vegan Cream Cheese (Gluten Free option available)
...both served with Roast Winter Vegitables, seasonal greens and a Miso and Red Wine Gravy.
Double Chocolate Brownie with or without Vegan Ice Cream. (Gluten Free option available)
We are asking for a contribution of £10 per main course (with accompaniments), which is payable in advance via our fundraising page.
Desert, should you wish to partake on the night, is £3/£3.50 with a scoop of ice cream, payable in cash (unless you would prefer to pre-pay the whole lot in one go in advance). A selection of reasonably priced soft drinks will also be available.
This is a BYOB event. Should you wish to bring your own, there will be a £2 corkage charge per table consuming alcohol (not just wine).
Hopefully you'll consider these fair prices to suport a good cause. All of the ingredients for the cook are being covered by donations or by the group, therefore every penny on the night will go to towards our fundraising goals!
BOOKING & PAYMENT...
To book your place please post below with the size of your booking and which main courses you would like to order. You will then be sent instructions for how to pre-pay for your booking. As this is a fundraising event, unfortunately we can't risk people not turning up on the night so we hope you appreciate the need for us to take payment in advance.
There are limited spaces at the venue (if this is a success we may consider a repeat event) with just 50 seats on offer. We will be aiming to start service at 7.30pm on the night so we ask that you arrive in good time to be seated before then.
